Indira Ananthakrishnan has been writing and telling stories for many years. She has written several award-winning short stories, historical tales, biographical sketches, plays and picture books. Her most recent book for Hachette India is The Phoenix in the Sky: Tales of Wonder and Wisdom from World Religions (2020). She has a special interest in interpreting the scriptures and happenings in history, and making them creatively appealing for young readers.
