Rebecca Mathai

REBECCA MATHAI grew up in Delhi. For her work as a civil servant, she moved across eleven cities, but Delhi remains in her heart, home. Her stories have appeared in major literary magazines including The Bombay Literary Magazine, Out of Print and Commonwealth Adda. She has also written for Frontline and The Indian Express among others. This novel is her debut work, the concept of which won the Jaipur Literature Festival's iWrite contest in 2020.

When she is not writing, she is either blasting film songs in her bedroom or listening to an audio book or a podcast. Dogs, trees, her sons, mountains are her loves – in that order – and treks that combine all these, her greatest joy.
