The aim of this book is to describe a complete and coherent method of partnership bidding after the opening bidder has announced a balanced hand. Balanced hands are more common than unbalanced hands, so it is important to be able to describe them accurately and efficiently - to show their precise strength and distribution. The scheme proposed here is independent of your bidding system, and so it can be adopted whether you play a natural system such as Acol or Standard American, or a Strong Club system or something more exotic.

Mike Wenble has played bridge from an early age and in 1971 was part of the team that won the Schools Cup at that time sponsored by the Daily Mail. He was a National Pairs Finalist in 2016 and is an EBU qualified bridge teacher.

Sally Brock
Sally Brock has had a considerable number of international successes including the Women's European Championships the Venice Cup and the Women's World Olympiad. With the England Women's team at the European Championships she won gold in 2016 and silver in 2014 and won a silver medal in the 2013 Venice Cup in Bali and a bronze medal in the 2015 Venice Cup in Chennai. In 2014 she was part of the team which won the Women's Team competition at the World Series in Sanya China.

Sally Brock

Mike Wenble has played bridge from an early age and became the English Schools champion. He has played for Yorkshire and Berkshire and is an EBU qualified bridge teacher.

Sally Brock is an internationally known player and writer. Sally is also the current bridge correspondent for the Sunday Times.
