Rajesh Tandon

Rajesh Tandon is an internationally acclaimed leader and practitioner of participatory research and development. He founded Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) in 1982 and continues to be its chief functionary. He is Co-Chair of the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education (http://unescochair-cbrsr.org) along with Professor Budd Hall. Dr Tandon has authored more than 100 articles, a dozen books and numerous training manuals. He was inducted to the International Adult and Continuing Education (IACE) Hall of Fame (class of 2011).

Budd Hall

Budd Hall is professor emeritus with Centre for Global Studies, University of Victoria, Canada, and Co-Chair of the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education (http://unescochair-cbrsr.org). He was former dean of the faculty of education at the University of Victoria, Chair of the Adult Education Department of the University of Toronto, and secretary-general of the International Council for Adult Education. He is a member of the International Adult and Continuing Education (IACE) Hall of Fame and was selected for the 2005 Canadian Bureau of International Education Innovation in Education Award. In December 2022, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.
