Manisha Sukhyani was born and raised in Kubernagar, popularly known as a Sindhi neighbourhood, located in the outskirts of Ahmedabad.

Growing up, Manisha was fascinated by Ruskin Bond's stories. She had a dream to write her own book, capturing the stories hidden beneath everyday life of Kubernagar.

Her dream manifested with her book Nina vs the Dog, Milk and Pakodas. The story beautifully captures the bustling lanes and vibrant culture of Kubernagar.

Deepa Godiawala is a self-taught illustrator, designer and storyteller based in Ahmedabad.

Inspired by everyday life, nature and the wonderful curiosity of childhood, she believes every illustration should invite young readers to observe and imagine.
