Kanika had her formal education from Shri Ram College of Commerce, and Hindu College, University of Delhi. Following that, she has been part of the corporate industry as a Learning and Development professional.

During pandemic, she got the opportunity to externalize her passion for writing – starting with non-fiction essays that were published in a few magazines and still garner good responses on LinkedIn. She moved on to collaborate with several anthologies.

She published her first horror novella Bikram and Vitthal in September 2020. Her second book Memoirs, themed on personal musings, was released in August 2021. She has been featured on All India Radio's author interview program twice.

When not writing, she is busy performing as a Spoken Word Artist on various social mics and platforms.
